Month 2
I’ve discovered something fascinating this month. I can imitate people’s smile really well. This makes everyone super giddy. Mommy and daddy keep trying to put me down on my tummy, but I won’t have it. I let them know I won’t stand for it from the second they put me down. Lately we have been going out a lot. Mom takes me to the baby sign language class where they sing goofy songs and dance. I just like watching everyone there. I don’t pay attention to the signing at all, but I’m super alert and excited when we do go to the libraries. I get tired by the end and insist on mommy carrying me.
What else are we up to you ask? Trying to get the heck out of the boring old house! I have been voicing my disapproval of the house very well. As long as we get out for most of the day I will be happy.
One issue is that I’ve had some trouble eating lately. I get so distracted by every sound and sight that I forget to eat until I’m so ravenous and upset that my stomach hurts. As for sleep, I sometimes get up to 4 hours in a row, but usually I like to eat every 2 hours. I hear it’s good for my figure. A highlight this month was my first big trip. We went to grandma’s in SLO for 3 days. I drank from the bottle but there just wasn’t enough. Mommy wanted me to feed in the car by the side of a road, but it was about 90 degrees and there were tons of people and noises, so I refused. I loved being at grandma’s since there was so much to look at and she keeps giving me the goofiest faces. She calls me “little pumpkin” “punky poo”, or even “cuddly wuddly”, which is my personal favorite. On the way home mommy got super sick and I was super fussy. I wanted out of that car seat!!! Still, over all it was good to get out, explore, and see grandma and grandpa!
