Month 1
Life was going pretty smoothly and I was getting to trust these crazies called mommy and daddy, but then the most horrible thing happened! They took me to the doctor place where they usually just inspect me, but this time they put a giant needle in me several times!! I threw up and cried harder than ever before. I really wailed! The next week I felt bad and cried much more than normal. The next Sunday I ended up being taken to the ER at Children’ s hospital (where I got special service for being cute!) where the doc said I have thrush and gave me nasty medicine, which I just basically throw up. Monday I saw another doctor, who said I may not have thrush, but that I should take just a little dab of the meds anyway. This I can tolerate. It went away quickly and now I feel pretty good.
I spend time every day in the snugli carrier- sometimes I am comfortable in that thing, but about a third of the time I can’t stand that thing and let mommy know it. She bounces around, sings, and dances like a loon in order to amuse me and I figure I should give her some reward for this, so I fall asleep or stop crying for a while as she is dancing. The second she stops though- WATCH OUT! This keeps her moving. Maybe she will lose some of that baby weight finally!
